Kim’s musings: October 2011

By 29 September 2011Blog

For the previous two months we were “stuck” on five clients. Many pitches in, lots of promise – but no movement. Then in the first week of September we signed two new clients – Danceweb and MMAP (formerly Michele Munroe & Associates, pronounced “Map”) and so started our obsession with Hip Hop Dance and out of home media (OOH).

The hat-trick for the month came with the inclusion of vodacom to our growing client list – now numbering eight. So six months in (yes, of course we celebrated this important anniversary with a quick lunch at the local Baron & Quail in Woodmead) we are really proud of how far we’ve come!

Amazingly, our second print brochure went off to the printer’s today and we are happy to be doing our bit in keeping print alive and well! We have made peace with the fact that the best solution for a client is not always digital brand content alone – and so we have embraced our positioning as a “creative agency” that delivers more than bespoke digital brand content.

This month we produced brand signage, brand identity design development, prezi presentations, websites, pull-up banners, brochures, digital brand content strategy, invitations, digital newsletters, print ads and a few pitch presentations of our own.

September has been a crazy, busy month – but we wouldn’t swap it for the world! It’s fantastic to be given the opportunity to work on a variety of clients brands from different industries and ourselves be on a constantly changing steep learning curve.

We gave ourselves the grace of “settling in” for the first six months at Twisted Toast, but now our challenge is to ramp things up a little. With some of the client projects we were contracted to do completed, we’re hungry for new business. Let’s bring it on!
