Twisted Toast

When reputation management consultancy Corporate Image was tasked by its client, SABMiller Group Technical, to handle the development of an animation video to illustrate the global company’s brewing process, it turned to Twisted Toast Digital. This new brand content agency is an expert at the visualisation of brand stories.

According to Twisted Toast CEO Kim Browne, the agency was flattered by being awarded the project, which is part of an internal communications programme to highlight the SABMiller Technical function’s successes and overall contribution to the business.

“We were also slightly daunted by the magnitude of the animation as the delivery deadline was pretty tight,” says Kim.

To keep within the budget and time constraints, the agency’s creative director, Erik Verster, suggested a 2D isometric motion graphics solution. “We agreed with the client to use this technique and the animation was a go,” says Maja Rode, account director at Corporate Image.

SABMiller operates breweries around the world and required a solution that explains a technically complex process correctly, simply and without fuss. “The motion graphics animation solution created by Twisted Toast addressed our client’s needs perfectly. The agency understood the feedback and turned the brewing process animation into what was envisaged,” says Maja.

The brewing process motion graphics video will be used by many of SABMiller’s operations across the globe, including Peru, Colombia, India, Australia, Poland, the Czech republic and Tanzania.
